For centuries, the Makai Knights have protected mankind from the Evil Beast Horror (Maju Horror). The latest member of the Makai bloodline is Koga Saejima, a mysterious young man who lives in an ancient castle and battles the evil with his holy sword, the Garo Blade. By tearing into the fabric of space, Saejima is able to become the ultimate incarnation of the Makai, the Golden Knight Garo (Ogon Kishi Garo). The transformation will only last for 99.9 seconds, and as the time limit draws near the Garo armor will begin to change.

After graduating from the Tokyo University School of Law, Makoto Tamiya (Matsushima Nanako) goes on to Harvard University where she earns an MBA. She later works at one of the "big three" networks in the United States as a news reporter. While covering a story on an international symposium in Paris, Makoto is scouted to work for JBC Television in Japan. The news producer at JBC wants to use Makoto to help raise low viewer ratings. He persuades her to work for him for an absurdly high salary, and also gives her the right to hire who she needs.
While Makoto is being brought in to be the savior of the News Department, one man gets transferred from the Variety Department. His name is Hiromi Nagase (Fukuyama Masaharu). Since joining JBC Television, all he has done is variety programs. Although Hiromi has done everything he possibly could to ensure his programs are a success, his boss just could not could take any more of Hiromi's behavior which ranged from getting caught up in scandals with female television personalities, punching-out assistant directors, to taking kickbacks from production companies. His boss finally tells Hiromi to make a fresh start in the "hard nosed" News Department.
So now the News Department has Makoto who thinks high ratings are the meaning of life, and Hiromi who values the success of a program as just a tool for the full enjoyment of life. These two totally different personalities mix it up and somehow reach a mutual understanding, creating a delightful "light comedy" for adults. --Fuji TV

To make matters worse, he was made the manager of the dormitory against the disapprovals of all the tenants. Keitaro Urashima is determined to be accepted into Tokyo University, the hardest Japanese University of all to get into, because of a promise he made to a girl when he was young... a girl whose name he can't even remember. After failing to get into Tokyo U twice, he is kicked out by his parents and goes to live with his Grandmother at her hotel, but it seems it has been turned into an all girls boarding house. What's more, much to his surprise and to the tenants disgust, Keitaro is made manager of the boarding house.

beberapa hal yang terpiikir oleh gw dari dorama ini :
1. Cerita
Matsushima Nanako memerankan tokoh Sakurako seorang wanita yang benci pada masa lalunya sebagai anak orang miskin bersumpah pada dirinya sendiri untuk menikahi orang kaya. sehingga pada umur 26, menjelang pernikahannya dia telah memiliki gelar "gokon Queen". dia memikat hanya lelaki yang lebih kaya dari pacarnya dan memutuskan pacar sebelumny yang lebih miskin
Tsutsumi Shinichi memerankan Osuke, bujangan Alumnus (Alumni gak Lulus) MIT jurusan Matematika. dia ditinggalkan kekasihnya 7 tahun yang lalu. setelah kematian ayahnya osuke memutuska kembali ke jepang meneruskan usaha keluarganya sebagai pedagang ikan dan meninggalkan pendidikannya di Boston itu.
2. Akting Nanako
Bisa dibilang di Film ini adalah Akting Matsushima Nanako terbaik ke 2 yang pernah ge tonton ( 1 : bijo ka Jayuu; 2 : Yamato Nadeshiko, 3 : GTO, 4 : Hana Yori Dango) nanako berhasil menampilkan beberapa sisi dari tokoh sakurako : Idealis (baca : Materialis), Anggun, dll.
Sangatlah wajar Artis Terbaik pada Musim gugur 2000 jatuh pada Matsushima Nanako
3. Soundtrack
Sountrack "Everything" yang dibawakan oleh Misia benar-benar membawa setiap penonton ke perasaan yang mengalir pada film ini
4. Perbandingan dengan Film indonesia
Kita sudah tahu siapa pemenangnya. Setelam menonton perfilman JDorama yang sudah 10-20 tahun lebih maju dari perfilman indonesia..ya sudah gak usah banyak komentar deh...
